Residents and forestry planting contractors are thrilled with Quality Roading and Services’s repair work to fix a half-metre slump that cut a path through Kinikini Rd eight days ago.
The road on Mahia Peninsular just north of Taylor’s Bay was infilled with metal and had its berm reinstated by Stacey Pompey, Isa Robertson, Jordan Karangaroa and Alexia Burton on Saturday 25 July.
“We had to wait for the road to dry out a bit but now we’ve done the work we’ve had some good feedback from the forestry guys,” says road maintenance manager Anthony (Tony) O’Sullivan.
The ‘before’ photo was taken looking back at Taylor’s Bay. The ‘after’ photo was taken facing the opposite direction. Tony added “I just want to say a big thank you to the QRS team involved and the patience of road users during this time.”
